I have an S8300 at a customer. I have to Coverage Answer groups.

Is there any way to get to Coverage Answer Groups to ring at the same time??

Thanks.

You could setup a third Coverage Answer Group which was an amalgamation of CAG1 and CAG2.

Didn't think that you could put Coverage Answer groups inside of coverage answer groups??

I'll try it shortly. thanks.

No, sorry, you misunderstood me.

Like this:

I have 2 full coverage answer groups. Need to have both ring that way. They're completely full

Ah, now I understand your problem.

Can you use a hunt group?
Or give people a bridged appearance to the extensions in the Coverage Answer Group?

No. I need to have both groups with all the people ring at the same time.

Bridged appearances won't work, because there will be too many buttons needed. They're getting a lot of calls to these groups and can't go to ACD.

Pickup groups?

You will need to explain the limitations of your system and what exactly you are trying to achieve or we could go on guessing at solutions.

How many people need to answer the calls?
What kind of phones do they have?
What system do you have?
Are all the calls coming in on one DDI number?

The more info the better.

Why not have all the extensions cover to a soft number. Then bridge the soft number on up to 16 sets. All 16 will ring on first coverage point.

I do this when the number of sets is greater than 8

Hope this helps
ED

1a2 to ip I seen it all

I do what 1a22ip does, but be carefull using a bridged soft number.

I usually create the soft number as a digital set with up to 5 call appearances, and create a bridged appearance for each on all 9+ sets.

The down side is anyone that has the bridged appearance can pick up that line and hear the conversation.

Also, if all of the appearances are in use it will follow the coverage if any exists and not ring the entire group.

Things to thing about.

Yes, the bridged won't be affective in this case.

On the coverage path, is there anyway to have it hit Terminating Point 1 and Terminating Point 2 at the same time??
