Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to automatically calculate a task's duration based on the duration of a predecessing task?

For example, if Task 1 takes 20 days to complete, and Task 2 takes half as long to complete as Task 1, I would like MS Project to automatically calculate Task 2's duration to 10 days (50% of Task 1). Is this possible? I am using MS Project 2003.

Thanks!
John

Hi - I don't believe that's possible. And if it was, it would likely take longer to configure Project to do that versus just entering the duration of each task manually.

Thanks. That's what I assumed, but couldn't find a definitive answer elsewhere.
