Hi,

I have created a user-profile (number 69) and assigned every permission I can find to wm, so that this profile has essentially full writes to do everything on the switch.

It doesn't allow you yo busyout a station. You only get busyout mis.

What do i need to do to provide busyout station.

I can do a busyout station using the dadmin account, but I don't want other admins using this account.

I've copied the first screen below and the following screens all have wm for every entry:

User Profile Name: ITSC_Level2

This Profile is Disabled? n Shell Access? n
Facility Test Call Notification? n Acknowledgement Required? n
Grant Un-owned Permissions? y Extended Profile? n

Name Cat Enbl Name Cat Enbl
Adjuncts A y Routing and Dial Plan J y
Call Center B y Security K y
Features C y Servers L y
Hardware D y Stations M y
Hospitality E y System Parameters N y
IP F y Translations O y
Maintenance G y Trunking P y
Measurements and Performance H y Usage Q y
Remote Access I y User Access R y

Any help appreciated.

This one is for busy, test, release station. "m"

These will also have to be set to "y" in the RFA license

Hi,

I have every entry on profile 69 set to wm for every category.

The 3 MSP settings you listed are set to N, what do these do?

Thanks

Derek

Those must be "y" to allow customer assigned logins to to maintenance commands.

How many different logins do you want to be able to do maintenace commands? What cm software version do you have?

I'm using CM4

The user-69 profile can do pretty much anything except busyout a station.

what cm4 version? there are several.

R014x.00.0.730.5 CM 4.0.0
R014x.00.1.731.2 CM 4.0.1
R014x.00.3.737.4 CM 4.0.3

How many different logins do you want to be able to do maintenace commands? Are you interested in a work-around for one login?

With these set to "n" There are many maintenance commands besides busy station that cannot be done by customer logins.
Avaya or a Business Partner will have to be contacted to have these turned on in the RFA license. It's not free.

I take it this is CM 4 you are adding this profile to.
I had a fun time with that myself. You should read this document it shows you the difference between CM 3 and CM 4 login setups. I got muddled up on adding actual login groups which is a seperate command from just adding a user and assigning the login groups in the user page. look at pages 16 - 19 espescially.

Question actually -- why would you want to busy out a station? Occasionally, I've dropped and recreated a station (if I felt there were issues). Just curious....

P.S. So you have to add a login group not a user and choose prof69 for the name change the access mask to 10069 in that from. you then go to the new user you created and assign him to secondary profile prof69 as well as susers for primary as it will error out trying to add prof69 before you have added the prof69 login group. This is where I believe your problem lies.

Thanks all for your advice.

Bahamian1977 - I've created the login and profile including access mask oj, it works for all commands except the busy station command.

We usually use the busyout station command to kick a phone into operation when it locks up, usually an ip phone, but even a digital phone sometimes need busied for various reasons. Normally a parameter refresh would work, sometimes it doesn't.

I'm using R014x.00.1.731.2 CM 4.0.1

a work around for one would do, but preferably 2 logins

Thanks

Derek,

Do you use "dadmin" login?

You can add a craft2 login type from "dadmin" or it would have to be added by Avaya services login. Only one craft2 login will work. It will be able to do maintenance commands without MSP enabled.

Contact me if you need help.

Hi,

Yes I use the dadmin account so I can do anything.

I have another account, lets call it "admin123" this account can do every command except busy station. I triend using the "enable craft2 admin123" command and it says "Login already enabled" but "admin123" can't do the busy command.

Any help much appreciated.

disable craft2
enable craft2 admin123
change pin admin123

your all set

cool, enjoy your star tier 3.

Finally got it working. I had to remove the prof18 from the account and leave prof69. I gave prof69 full rights on everything.

Anyway, it works so loads of thanks

grep "craft2_logname" /etc/hosts

prof3:x:10003:craft,craft2_logname <-- always craft and any type craft2 logname
only one craft2 with PIN will work to gain access to CM

prof69 is not really being used.
when you login to CM, "status logins" it will show what profile your craft2 login is really using.
