Hello Experts ,

Found someone tried upgradation of bos.rte on my aix box & it failed. It's in broken state now.

# lslpp -l | grep bos.rte | more
bos.rte 5.2.0.12 BROKEN Base Operating System Runtime

It'snow allowing me to upgrade, deinstall or reinstall base
fileset .If tries it fails.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi andysys,

Can you put here the output of "lslpp -l bos.rte" command?
Then we can findout whether the base level fileset (bos.rte 5.2.0.0) is intact or broken.

Are you able to clean up (reject the bos.rte 5.2.0.12 ) fileset, after it failed or broken?

Hi Riaz

# lslpp -l bos.rte
Fileset Level State Description
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Path: /usr/lib/objrepos
bos.rte 5.2.0.12 BROKEN Base Operating System Runtime

Path: /etc/objrepos
bos.rte 5.2.0.10 COMMITTED Base Operating System Runtime
#

I am not able to cleanup the failed fileset.

Thanks for your reply.Eagerly waiting for the solution.

Andy
