Brightstor 9 Oracle Agent Problem

E8604 failed to start back-up. (DBNAME=CIP,EC=Oracle -- (209) "ORA-01146: cannot start online backup - file 15 is already in backup ORA-01110: data file 15: 'E\ORACLE\ORA92\TBLSPCCIP01.DBF' ".)

Can someone advise what this error means?

The Oracle DB you are trying to backup is stuck in backup mode - check the Oracle Agent manual for details on how to manually tell Oracle to take the db's out of backup mode.

You can issue an 'alter tablespace {tablespace name} end backup;’ in sqlplus. To verify the file is out of the backup mode, you can issue ‘select FILE#,STATUS from V$backup;’ (all the files should be ‘not active’)

pjc7777, I'm having the same issue and when I put them all to not active, they go right back to active when I run brightstor. Any clues??
