Arcserve 2000 sp4
Have a mapi client installed that comes with outlook 2000 on the exchange server.

Mostly some mailboxes don't get backuped during a bricklevel backup of Exchange 2000. Sometimes non at all. The entire backup takes a long time too. The errormessage that appears in a logfile is probably the error that causes this problem. This is the message: warning not enough space in cachebuffer for 64K data. I hope someone knows more.

The warning itself is not a problem
There should be different errors for whatever mailboxes fail to backup that would be more useful.
Brick level backups are much slower than database level. I believe ca has a document about the reasons on it's website.

I also have the same problem.
I have Arcserve 2000 with SP4, the NT [fix]- EXCHANGE CUMULATIVE BRICK LEVEL UPDATE (.CAZ.)and Outlook 2000 like mapi client.

When I run a restore of the mailboxes of users they don't recover the total of the messages.
I have not found information in the CA´s Web Site.

Thank you for the replies.

Restarting the ArcServe services on the server which does the backups and restarting the Backup agent RPC server on the exchange server have seem to done the trick. We haven't had any problems since. Thanks again.
