bos.rte.bosinst fail on migrate from 4.3 to 5.1

Problem:

When migrating from 4.3 RML11 to 5.1 via NIM from our Control workstation ( CWS ) we get a failure with

bos.rte.bosinst

A work around has to been to reject the RML11 update for this fileset ( installp -rg bos.rte.bosinst ) and then carrying on with a NIM migrate

I have searched the web and cannot see anyone else having this problem , so far this is a test box and the filesets are applied and not committed.

But what do we do when RML11 is commited as we cant backout bos.rte.bosinst

many thanks for this, as we had a good search on IBM last night .. have you encountered any other issues such as the /etc/resolve.conf and file permissions on certain files ?

The only thing I could find about resolv.conf was an old problem on HACMP nodes. I also found this about migrating via NIM, but I'm not sure that will ansewr you problem:
