Does anyone know if you can update bot.rte.aio on a live Aix4.3.3 system. Does it only take affect after boot??

I'm guessing that it will require a boot. Can't say for sure, but considering what asynch IO does, I can see where it might.

You can update it, but you will have to reboot. You have to reboot for changes to a running AIO even without upgrading the software.
