Blue LED on 1140E

Ok what am I missing, I have the 1140e working on a 400 with 4.0. I never really paid attention before but how do I get the Blue LED at the top left of the phone to show while the phone is active on a call?

U can't? The blue led only lights on start up and f/w download.

I found the following in Nortel Doc NN10300-023

"Data waiting = Blue (located on the top left
corner of the set). Lit when the terminal is on an active call."

Must just be something to do if you upgrade the firmware to SIP.

You need to be using SIP firmware to have the Blue LED do anything other than flash when doing a firmware download.
