Hi,
we have a situation whereby a mobile number is calling one of our DDI's constantly. They are not nuisance calls or anything we could get the police could be involved in but we would like to bar the caller ringing this ext.
We run CM 4.2(3.
I believe this can be achieved on H323 gateways but we have MGCP.
We don't want to get rid of the DDI so just deleting this number or forwarding it to a mailbox isn't an option.

Suggestions much appreciated as always.
Thanks in advance

you can only do this H323, or do what i do and forward them to a screeching fax number

Hope this helps.

Iwontremember - How do I forward the call to a fax line? Do I have to give up the DID that is being called or can I select the number that is calling me somehow? We just upgraded from a Nortel Option 61 to CM6.1 so I am a bit green.

you could give up the DID for a period of time until the mobile stops calling or answer it and transfer it.

Hope this helps.

The called number will need to be translated if you are using different DNs.

Example you call 555-1212 if the internal ext is 1212 and you are receiving four digits on CID all is good..

If you are receiving seven digits then you would need to translate (5551212 to 1212).
