My boss wants his number to remain private when calling out of office or to show the main PBX number e.g 417-5000. Can this be done in the option 11 system and how?

If you have control over what digits you are sending than you just have to build a CLID table.Sometimes your telco provider has control over your CLID and if so you will have to ask them to release it to you.Does anyone else send 417-5000 from your PBX, if so just add his key 0 to that CLID entry..if it exists already.

is that number his did? prt clid ld 21 then assign one that has the number you need.. i usually test it on my station

If the phone is an IP phone then create a new zone and put his phone into it.

Then use zbr to insert the digits to block outgoing CLI.

eg ZBR <zone> <digits> so ZBR 4 141

where 141 is the code to block CLI in the UK

Make sure you have 141 as an SPN and increase the size of the dialable digits.

If it is a digital or analogue set, create an AC2 that uses a new DMI table to insert the code.

Hope that helps.
