I just checked my web mail and found my inbox jammed full of notifications from Trend Officescan that a computer on my network is infected with BKDR_AGENT.CZ (C:\windows\system32\smss.exe) to be exact)

This is a computer that was just recently built, has never been used by a user and is locked in the IT room. Has anyone dealt with this virus before and how would it have gotten on the computer?

Thanks in advance....

Where are the emails coming from?

If that computer has never been used to "surf the web" or the email components have never been set up, I would suspect that another machine is spoofing that address of that machine. The infected machine may not even be in your network.

Have you run an AV scan on it?
