I’m having some trouble making a coloring interface with a bright-o-meter, meaning when the user finds the right colors the meter goes to a higher position. Here’s were I am so far: -

The problem I’m having is I’m not sure how to make the meter go to the right positions, e.g. when the user colors the shirt in yellow the bright-o-meter goes higher, but if the user colors the shirt in black, the bright-o-meter goes down. Also when all the correct colors have been used the movie jumps to a “well done”/end frame.

If someone could help me on this problem I’d be most grateful.

Thanks
JIM

That should be relatively simple, just add the color values together...it might take a bit of complex math, but say, add the red, green and blue values of each item, and add them up on the bright-o-meter...

If there is black, then, not much color...but the problem I run into now, is that Green, and yellow themselves would be more 'bright' than just plain white...white should be yucko color...

Thanks Antony

But I'm a total loser at action script. If you get the time, could you write me a little example code.

Thanks in advance

JIM

Actionscript isn't hard, you just gotta learn not to be afraid of it...=)

Anyways, you forgot your e-mail...maybe if you could send me the FLA I could see what I can do...as far as helping out with that...now I'm gonna be asking some questions in the forum...;)

Hmmm...if I try and get a color, and it returns a hex value, I could probably just take that value, and average it with the other objects...

And whadda ya mean your bad at actionscript...you did that little thing didn't you?...Theres no possible way you could avoid actionscript in that little diddy.
