I need the bell to ring upon the click event of a button.
I put code in the click event:

Set bell on
CHR(7)
Do programone.prg
etc. . . .

Can you help on why the bell will "NOT" ring (maybe my bell has been rang to many times to figure this out. . .!)?X-)

Probably, the windows has set the bell sound to an inaudible wave file. oR YOU HAVE MISSED THE "?" IN FRONT OF CHR(7). The remedy is to....

SET BELL ON
SET BELL TO
? CHR(7)

and run the programe now ! Your problem will be solved

Also you can set the Bell sound to your selected wave file.
For example..

SET BELL TO "d:\winnt\media\tada.wav"

remember to include the path or make the wave file available in the default directory
Now give the command

? chr(7)
