Hi there
I have spent some hours reading about passwords but couldn't find the answer to the following problem.
I have a couple of BE databases, only containing tables, which I have protected with a password.
I then linked all tables on those protected databases to a FE, typing in the password whe requested.
When I double click on the tables link on the FE, I can read the data, so I assume the 'proper connection' is done.
However when I am running queries, I get advised by ACCESS that it needs the password....
Same happens when I open a form (which has a query as the source)
I was under the impression that, once you link a table and type the password, the FE has total access to those tables without further having to type any more passwords, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Also note that I have 4 .MDB files linked to the FE, but only two of those .MDB are password protected.
thanks for your input
