I have BCM50 rls. 5.0. It was necessary do system downgrade to rls 2.0 (problem with interworking between BCM50 rls 5.0 and CS1000 rls. 4.5 via H.323 trunks). So I make foollowing steps:
1)Connected to BCM via Putty, choose software reset.
2) BCM go to restart, power and status LEDs - solid red
3) Wait 15 minutes, BCM finish restore (factory image rls 2.0), restarted.
4) after restart I have this LED indicators status:
a) POWER LED: allways YELLOW
b) STATUS LED: cycle(YELLOW(~15 sec)->NONE(1 sec)->RED(~30 sec))
c) LAN ports LED activity allways green

I have tried: change HDD to another with release 2.0 and 5.0. No changes.
Have you any idea that mean this leds indication? Can I reset cmos with jumper (j9 connectors on BCM50 mother board, near Nortel chips QMV473CT5)?
Unfortunatelly, I can't open case in Nortel, avaya has changed partner status.

Thanks in advice.

When I "downgraded" a BCM 50 version 3 to a version 1, it took me 1 1/2 hours to complete. I don't think it's completed?.

Yellow LED's solid or flashing mean..

System initializing; not ready for service.

I'd do a reset via the reset button and wait for the process to complete.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

3) Wait 15 minutes, BCM finish restore (factory image rls 2.0), restarted. - It's means Status and Power LEDs - solid green. Then follewed restart and BCM not returned from battle...
