I am suppose to be installing BCM50 5.0, but since we can not get them any time soon I was told to install BCM50 3.0 for now and once we get the 5.0 I am going to take out the 3.0 and replace it with the new 5.0. I know I have to reprogram the 5.0 once I get it, but I am not sure how it will play out with the KeyCodes since I will be generating them for the 3.0 and how it will effect the IP sets since they will download the firmware from the 3.0 system. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

IP sets will automatically download the new f/w. U can probably regenerate the keycodes to the new SYS ID via the Nortel KRS. U could also just purchase the 3.0 - 5.0 s/w upgrade kit and keep the same h/w.

To actually replace the 3.0 with the 5.0 without buying new keycodes you'll need to purchase a migration keycode that will allow regeneration of the migrated keycodes.

Thank you both. This is good to know.
