Does this mean the hard drive has gone bad and or possibly more?, I am getting a momentary red flash across the drive, temp and fan LEDs and a continuous restart on the BCM server 3.7 , I can log in thru serial, and it does not see the MSC card and also states a bad PEC was detected, would all of these conditions be related to a defective drive or is there a chance that there is additional damage to the system? Thanks for any help in advance.

Sounds like the system is stuck in the middle of a platform initialization. If you telnet or connect via console cable, what do you see for the initialization status?

Whenever veiwing via console it starts booting and gets just past the memory check 256 then it starts loading then freezes after a few seconds then restarts. On the last restart I tried to read the MSC SYSTEM ID and it froze again then restarted. I did notice on the initial info screen,it stated: Motherbord: sh851:
PCI: MSC Empty and also blank beside the MSC Version. Then it tried to start VOICE MSC SERVICE, then restarted again. I tried also to telnet to it but it could not find or connect. Thanks

Run cleanevents.exe if you have it. Sometimes the event logs get jammed up and cause such problems.
