Hello, I have cloned the hard drive in our Nortel phone system. I used Clonezilla and seemed to get a good clone of the disk. After the system boots up, I am able to make outgoing calls as well as access my voice mail. However, I am not able to receive incoming calls. Additionally, I am not able to ping the LAN IP address. I have read the forums here and see that people are using Ghost and getting good results using the command:

'ghost -clone,MODE=load,SRC=R:\37GA_BIT.GHO,DST=1,SZEE -ntchkdsk -sure -auto'

The OS seems to be booting fine so I am wondering if I need to log in via console and 'authorize' the new drive or something. Has anyone cloned their BCM using clonezilla? And if so, what were your results?

Thanks,

Lane

Firebirdscrambler,

Thanks for your reply. I generally use Acronis to clone HDD, but as the BCM appears to by a linux flavored OS, I used Clonezilla since that is also linux based. In retrospect, I should have tried Acronis as it always does a good job for me. In answer to your question, yes I copied sector by sector. Perhaps I should try again using Acronis or Ghost. Thoughts?

Thanks,

Lane
