Hello,

I am using Backup Exec 8.6 to back up sql server .bak files on HP Ultrium drives. The largest file is currently 90GB. The .bak file is ok. BE backs up the file to tape without any problem (backup successful). However when I try to restore the file BE fails, saying it cannot restore the file (Error writing file data.) after approx. 86GB. There is enough space on the destination drive. Smaller files (40-50GB) do not have that problem.
Any idea ?

Thanks
Raoul

I have read something about restoring BE 8.6,
the HD spce should be double, meaning if the data to restore is 90GB .. your HD space should be 180 or 200GB., maybe, hope this help.
