Avaya Communication Manager/System Manager

I have some Avaya J129 SIP phones programmed as SIP users in Avaya System Manager. How would I program that phone to be a ringdown phone? In other words, when you lift the handset on the Avaya J129 SIP phone, I would like it to automatically ring to a specific single destination/extension. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
Check the 46xxsettings file. I know for 9600 SIP, it has to be defined there. Something like "go to RINGDOWN if $MACADDR = the mac address of your phone" and the RINGDOWN section has the "SET HOTLINE" parameter defined.
 
no it's done through the special features then define personal list and entry number, once you answer yes to hotline for special features it opens up the field on the station form, just finished doing one today
 
Where do I change/access the special features section to change the hotline setting? I'm not following you...
 
change system-parameters special-applications go to page 6 hotline for ip telephones, change that to yes then it will open up the options for a hotline on station form
