Hey, I have sucessfully set up NIS, it works with the hosts file, passwd and shadow files. With everything except for automount. I went to the SCO TA and tried to modify the /etc/nfs script, changed it liek they said, and still get nothing. What happens is, NFS can be brought up (by hand or during startup). NFS Works, TCP/IP works, I can ypcat auto.master. But None of the automounts work. I get this in syslog:
automount[740]: fopen /etc/auto.master:No such file or direcotory.

Which looks to me like automount is looked for a /etc/auto.master and that is it.

Any ideas?

And this is on OSR5.0.5 [sig][/sig]

oldhamca,

It's not clear from your query whether you have an /etc/auto.master file or not? If not, you'll need to create one. The details are on the 'automount' man page.
