I have the digital handsets set for Automatic Dial in User Preference, so that when you dial the number it automatically picks up the line and dials out. But when I do this, I keep getting a BT (UK) message stating the number dialled has not been recognised. If I press line button and dial, all is ok. I have check through the CD, and the settings on the DN's but seem to have hit a stumbling block.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is this like an elevator phone, that dials a specific number when the reciver is lifted?

No, it is the standard phones. i have since found out that if a Prime line is set, by keying in destination number on the keypad WITHOUGH lifting handset OR pressing Intercom button, you do not have to enter code to connect to CO.

Thanks for replying anyway.
