I have a client and it has been discovered under the All Windows NT Systems collection. Under the client heading it says Yes, but I can find no evidence that the SMS client has been installed. I rebooted, but I still see not sms applet in control panel or any Sms files on the machine.

Is there something I am missing?

Here are some thoughts...

There is no %windir%\ms folder?

Perhaps the device had SMS installed but it was 20clicln'd?

Does the computer name you see in the collection precisely match the actual computer name of the device in question (not just a property ID tag glued to the device, and no transposed characters)?

You could get the IP for the device in the collection then do a ping /a to get the current device name -- maybe it has been renamed (though SMS should reflect the change).

I assume that all your other clients are behaving as expected.
