Auto Dial Numbers ???

I have a remote office with a Partner ACS R3. The office manager has requested that the operator extension (should be a 34D with plenty of available buttons at ext. 10) be setup with appearances for various extensions, so the operator can tell when someone is on his/her phone.

Would this be accomplished with "Auto Dial Number" buttons, or will these buttons ONLY auto dial and not indicate extension status via lamps for internal extensions?

Please help me understand if this button type will indicate extension status before I call and walk them through programming the button(s) on the operator phone.

when you are programming it. Press the button you want and then press intercom and then the ext number. if you do intercom*ext then it will speaker page. this way these will show status.
