Authority and account codes

Hello,
May seem like a very easy question but I have two questions about how to successfully initiate account and authority codes. I want to set up some extensions, which have to enter a code before dialling. If they try and dial out without the code they will be barred.

I have looked through Alex but I think I am getting confused. Can someone please give me an example of both account and authority code programming?

As far as i know you also need the freeseating facility on your MD. We are using both codes too, we don't have freeseating and the situation you're aiming at don't works on our platform. Someone any ideas how to let it work without freeseating?

Hi, authority codes is for open/lock extension, ie. when lock your not able to call out. You can also use the authority codes to dialling from another extension this depend of the parameter CHECK in AUCOI.
If you want to forced the extension to use account code when dialling out, here you need to use LCR ( Least Cost Routing ) where the ACCT value in DNT1 and DNT2 is compared with the ROC d2 for extension to forced using account code when dialling out.
