Auth Codes Wiped Out?

Had yet some more outages with the stormy weather here in Jersey and on top of losing my VM again, and all calls coming in getting a dial tone (both rectified for now) now I just had someone bring another issue to me.

Their 4 digit auth code to dial long distance, makes them hit a busy signal. I confirmed this with at least 1 other user and when using my auth code, it goes through fine. So far I have 4 people affected by this and probably more on the way.

Where do I go to configure these, re-assign new ones or remove old ones?

Thanks! Worst Friday ever!

DISUd and ENLUd with no change. These people's auth codes still hit busy signals on long distance numbers.

Also, if you have any lightning protection at the entrance point, might check the fuses there as well. Otherwise, I'd say the trouble is in the CO.

All this trouble for these "seemingly simple" auth codes?

Geez....

Isn't there just a way to re-assign/re-configure them in the system? Or get a list of them?

Auth Codes are built in LD 88

Req: prt,new,chg,out

Have you tried do a trac in LD 80 on the DN that is trying to make the LD call with an AUTH code?

I am trying to PRT my codes, but after I hit SPWD and I enter the 4 digit code I set for it, I just get AUTH002. Despite that I set it in LD 15.

Code:
>LD 21
PT1000

REQ: PRT
TYPE: PWD
TYPE PWD_DATA
CUST 0
PWD2

Whew....just after posting that I came across an old printout from the previous IT guy. Happened to have the SPWD highlighted and now I am seeing the list of auth codes.

I'll go from here now.

spwd is either 0000 or 1234...that if you haven't changed them.

spwd is not the same as pwd2

Alright next questions. I have the steps to build a new auth code, however, they seem to only be for a range of codes.

Since I noticed some of ours missing in the list, I need to re-build specific 4 digit codes (and no, do not want them tied to the phoneset either)

So where is it that I can manually enter the auth code I want to make?

Also, in the list, I noticed that 6666 is not there...however, entering this and other numbers Im sure WILL let you get long distance. This could be a problem if word gets out.

Is there a setting to restrict LD calls to ONLY the ones in the list?

Thanks as usual.
