Is there anyway to store old data Pruned from the Database? Once the data has been pruned it takes forever to spin thru tapes to find a particular file. Can this data be stored in some other format?

You should just be able to "merge" the information from the tape back into the database. This takes a few minutes, but then allows you to look for files as if the info had never been pruned from the database. Look at Help in Arcserve and do a Find on "Merge". This should help you.
