Seen alot of people with similar problems, so thought I should start my own thread to see if there is any reliable solution to my current problem.
Recently had to recover my Exchange 5.5 site, and as a result upgraded to Exchange 2000. I was informed by CA to apply SP4 to my Arcserve 2000 Advanced Install, and to the Backup Agent for Exchange, which is on a sperate MAIL server. Since doing so I have managed to get the Agent to configure, and now I am able to backup some items at the Brick Level.
However getting a full online backup of Exchange DB's is very important, and when selecting the Exchange Database's as a whole, there is nothing to display.
Therefore does anyone know of anything else I can try? I personally wouldn't mind upgrading the agent to the latest version, but I do not see the need to upgrade Arcserve 2000 to Arcserve 9 when it works so well in other area's.
Does the Arcserve 9 Backup Agent fo Exchange work with Arcserve 2000? Is it a viable option, because if I am going to have the same problems, I may as well fix them in my current agent?
Any help, hints, clues would be greatly appreciated, as I have been battling with this frustrating issue for a week now.
Regards
Chris.
