Got a customer that is using NCH's IVM software to their people call into to leave a message if they are not comming into work. The company is terrible to work with, so they are looking for an alternative. Basically they want a device to answer the call, leave a message in a voicemail box (not the phone system's voicemail) and then the voicemail box will send the message to an email address. The email message must have a time stamp. Does anyone know of hardware/software that will do this. Thanks.

Asterisk, Avaya IP Office, Nortel Call Pilot: All do it through the business phones system.

Thanks for the responses. I'm not looking for the phone system to do any of this. Any third party software/hardware. Thanks.

Curly - They currently have Rel/T1 software and do not want to upgrade the system to support the Callpilot. They currently have NCH software a hardware to accomplish what they want, but the tech support is horrible.

Perhaps CFNA the line to a cloud VM like google Voice or something similar.. Notifications galore after that ??

Google Voice - it's free. Sends an e-mail with a .WAV file of the message, along with a text transcription (not perfect but so long as the caller's voice is clear the transcription will make sense). Works fantastic.
