Hello,

We have a customer (using embedded vm) where we set up an Auto Attendant. When making a choice in the Auto Attendant, calls are routed to a group. On that group i programmed that an announcement should come after 10 seconds. But when i call the external number and make a choice within the auto attendant, the user in the group will start ringing, but i don't get the announcement after 10 sec.
The ring mode of the group is collective. No Answer Time is 30 sec. Overflow timer is programmed on 22 sec.
Anyone has an idea why i don't get the announcement after 10 sec?

Kind regards,
Marc Verheijen

I believe you need to have queueing enabled in order for the announcements to play.

and an announcement recorded.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Announcemnet was recoreded and i checked if queueing was enabled, and it is enabled.
Is it possible the PBX handles an internal call different on a group then external? Is my announcement working if i call the group internal? If i remember right a call from an Auto Attendant to a group is handled like an internal call.

Kind regards,
Marc Verheijen

It should work either way

But check you can hear the recording.
Was it a local recording or a wav file import.

You can check the announcement the same way as you recorded it using the default short codes for the hunt group.
*91 group number # for announcement 1
*92 group number # for announcement 2

Just follow the instructions

Remember to wait for the beeps before saving

Be careful with voicemail ports and announcements. Depending on if you have synchronize calls turned on or not you could be using a voicemail port for each call in the queue AND a port for each call in the AA. Since embedded only has 2 ports to start you can run out in a hurry. I strongly suggest having synchronize calls turned on for announcements unless you just have a crap ton of ports.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
