Hi, 1st time on forum.

I have an Aloha system that has been working for over three years. We haven't used it for about a month. While shutdown someone changed the printer and removed the key. By searching your past threads I was able to fix that and get running. Now my credit card system seems to operate but I am can't to run the EDC program to send the cards off. I get an error saying

CEdcDlg::OnInitDialog Unable to find the EDdc DCOM server. Make sure it is properly registered and licensed.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The hardware key in on the printer port and Aloha runs and processes the credit cards. I can't get the EDC program to run to send the cards off.

What version of Aloha and Windows are you running?

When you said you got Aloha running again, was it possible you changed a setting, moved a folder, etc..?

EDC can't start because of a path, proper registration, service,or HASP problem.

Things to check:
Find your services and check that it is logging on as an aministrator with password.
Unregister and Register the services and start them manually from the services window.
If those don't fix it, then you are possibly missing some DLLS and need to reload.

Kentucky phone support-
"Mash the Kentrol key and hit scape."

Nothing changed to my knowledge.

Aloha 5.2.5.129

Windows 2000 pro

Thanks

Unregister and Register fixed the problem!!!

Many many thanks

My Aloha POS system ver. 5.2.4.24 was working fine, but it can't install EDC for credit card use, the error shows that

CEdcDlg::OnInitDialog Unable to find the EDdc DCOM server. Make sure it is properly registered and licensed.

The licensed is good and I tried to unregister and register, it still don't work. I cheaked services in Administrative tool, edcsvr file is not there. Are there any way to load in there? Please help and give me some idea. Thank you very much.

Is the key authorized for EDC?
If so rerun the installation disk and make sure you check install EDC as a sevice. It will prompt you to save the current database.

Bo:
Thank you very much.
1. The key is authorized for EDC, we just got last week.
2. I run EDCSVR from AlohaQs/EBCR/EDC4.252 and unregister and register from EBCR/batch files, but I still can't see edcsvr in services.
3. by the way, where can I get installation disk?

Thank you
