hi, here's a question for all you guru's.... what would/where would i start....

I have to change registry settings on local workstations to disable the DCOM services, just have to change a Y to N, no prob i can do that locally, easy stuff.... how would i do it from my main server so i dont have to run around like a chicken with a cut off head? Network Neighbourhood lists the stations on the network, and shares, but how do i get in to each system's registry... should i do it by GPO if possible???

once again, thnx for the input guys

...Hey now...

If you run regedit from a machine and go to the FILE menu, there is an option in there to connect to network registry. From there you should be able to connect to a remote machine's registry. Of course, you'll need appropriate rights.
