Hi. I am adding additional DID's to an exsiting S8100. The DID's are comming in via a PRI and have the same area code but different exchange (ie, existing xxx-720-xxxx and new is xxx-759-xxxx, the last 4 digits will begin as 78xx). I need to know what do I need to do in the S8100 to set this up so the S8100 will accept the new numbers from the provider. I already modified the Attendant adding the 78 to it for speed dial. The 7xxx is allowed in the S8100 as an ext already, so I don't need to modify that. And if memory serves me correctly, i believe the provider only send me the last 4 digits. (however I am waiting for confirmation.)

Any assistance/help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the range of you existing DID's. Hopefully it is not the same last 4 digits.

The existing last 4 digits are in this range....
7200 - 7299
3960 - 3999

the new ones I ordered are 7800 - 7819

are these new did's to be delivered on the PRI you already have, or a new circuit?

Heather Suzanne

yes, they will be provisioned over the same PRI circuits (actually we have two PRI's and put them in the same Trunk Group)

So, simply, yes they will be over the same PRI.
