SX2K LW34 (34.2.7.4)

I think I already know this answer, but thought I'd ask, as I've been away from this product for a couple years.

I have a small call center (5 seats) still running on a 2K system that we have not yet migrated to (shudder) Cisco.

I know it's been M/D, but can I still buy additional ACDII seat licenses for the 2K?

Thanks!

You need a special premission to by an SX2000 licenses because as you say its MD. You will need a dealer to get that permission.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

The 2K was officially M/D on May 1, 2010. Tapps have been played over it & the fat lady has sung. As far as I know the only place to find anything for it is on the secondary market and of course they can't help w/software. The Software Assurance has long since run out so mother M has even less incentive to help :)

However, the day was saved as it turned out we had a SYSID and a MOSS sheet from a recently retired system (legally ours) that had the same options load with more than enough ACDII set licenses to accommodate the need. Partitioned, swapped SYSID, restarted the inactive, edited DIM SE form on the inactive side, DBMS SAVE, forced act xfr across the partition. Came up w/correct options and the new hash code matched the MOSS. Formatted the outgoing partition then Data Save/Restore from the active, verified DIM SE hash code matched, then joined & the system lives on.

This is just a temporary BandAid to get me through another couple months until the //shudder// Cisco contact center express gets installed.

I really don't recommend anyone do this (Swap SYSIDs on a production system or install Cisco phones) Sphincters were tight when the button was pushed :) but it's up & running & seems happy.

You can still get the options if you go through the right steps. Just a pain to do it.
