Is there a way to customize the existing print/preview report writer class and add a button to it with your own code in the button.

I know about the customization of the toolbars from the
Foxpro pulldown menu:
View->toolbars->(select the toolbar) -> customize
now see the list of categories on the left, highlight the one you want and drag a control from the right onto the toolbar.

The above doesn't seem to give an option of adding your own button with code onto the toolbar.

Is there a way to do it? Thanks in advance.

Is this something you want to do in the development environment, for your own benefit? If so, it might be easier either to add a function to your developer menu or create a keyboard macro.

Or, is it something you want to add to your application, so that your users can use it? If so, you will have to create your own toolbar class, then instantiate it at run time.

If you want your toolbar class to be similar to the existing report preview class, have a look at faq184-4480, which will give you some guidance on how to do that.
