I have a Server running MS Windows Server 2003 w/ with just a handfull of websites on it.

I'm having a program designed that external customers will using to design their own print media that we print and ties into our online print/website. The programmer want to use ActiveX.. Question, is there anything I need on my server to run ActiveX from my server?

If so, what is it and where do I get it?

If not, is there something I need to configure on my server to run ActiveX?

Thanks

ActiveX runs on the client, not the server. On the server you just provide the ActiveX download files (.ocx, .dll, or .cab files) and some web pages perhaps that reference the ActiveX control. The control is downloaded by users of the website, and runs completely inside their web browsers, not your server.

The only time you'd have to do anything special on the server is if a particular ActiveX control opens up a special connection back to your web server, through some other port or service. But that all really depends on what the ActiveX controls are and what you need them to do.
