Hello all,

I have had soooo much fun trying to download from the ACS 7. Tried via laptop modem, and as frequently happens, no joy. Tried a Zoom external modem from on and off site, and am I able to connect rarely.

Hooked up via serial, and I do connect, able to tell the ACS to backup, but neither the translation or the diagnostics will download. I am able to upload a translation...makes me wonder if the non-Avaya modular adapter, is wired properly. I will search for the pin out and check the adapter.

Thanks for any ideas,

Jeff

Any other ideas?

JJDiver,

This has been a question that has been posted several times. There are several posts out on this site about it.

I have had only one issue with connecting to a Partner and it had an old line of 206 cards that would not allow it. All the others I connected using an external US Robotics modem. I turned my internal modem off because it did not handshake well with the Partner modem. I have set all of mine up now with a selector code transfer through my dial string to extension 76.

Make sure you have the password set #730 or it will not allow you in. Set your selector code, then #505 ,6, add 76 and you should pop in at a speed of 14400.

If you are not using Partner mail then have the on site staff answer the call and do a transfer 76 transfer to get you in.

Let me know if you are still having issues.
