Accidentally changed a setting ?

Hi,

I changed a setting by accident somehow. I use a four monitor system. When I used to hit "Print Screen," than in PS7, Ctrl + N, Ctrl + V, I would have a shot of all four screens at the time of the print screen. What happens is, the screen with the TV on it, somehow stays live, instead of a frozen shot. Any ideas of what I did. Thanks.

Not a clue but a if you think your preferences need resetting to their original values, see my response about resetting preferences at Thread229-1025611 It may help.

It will however, reset any settings you manually changed.


It does seem that you probably already know about preference resetting so I ask, can you remember anything you did just before this happened?

Were you in PShop when it happened?

Do you think maybe it has nothing to do with PShop and maybe a system setting?

Hi,

I can't think of a system setting that would do that but I wouldn't rule it out. This problem was a little hard to explain so I put a screen shot of how it used to work and a video of how it's acting now. You can find it here ~

Hmmm...Am I looking at the problem being on the right side monitor?
If so have you swapped the monitors cableing to see if the problem moves (e.g. is the problem with a monitor) or am I not seeing the problem correctly?

I looked a second time at the video, should I be seeing no movement on the screens?

Can you hit print screen (alt prt screen) and place the pics into say a MS Word file or anything other than PShop?
Trying to see if print screen is working.

I fear I'm not really seeing the problem

Did you watch the video? Hardware wise nothings been changed. In the video, notice the monitor on the right with the photoshop screen, than the screen shot of four monitors, look at the monitor on the left and watch the picture on it, it's live. and as I move that inside window with the mouse, you will see the live feed from the TV on the left.

wow thats weird, if I use Alt PrintScreen, I only get monitor number 4. If I use just PrintScreen, I get all four.

Yes I finally see but can't imagine why you see a live feed.

I use one monitor but have considered using two since upgrading to XP and would love to know what the problem is.

But Alas I must admit I have no clue! Maybe steriods??

Hopefully someone else will chime in or you'll figure it out.

I've had this set up for a long time now but, the problem started abut 3 days ago.

Hey, I had two monitors and once you experience that, theres no going back! Than I went to the Quad card from Matrox with Tuner. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. If I go to someone's house to help them out with a problem, I get aggravated fast. The card I got was going for was 699 when I got. I picked it up off e-bay for 150. Best thing I ever did.

Yes I would...maybe there's a wormhole in the table that's distorting space time !!!!

Returning to defalt setting didn't work. Could it be something else?
