I built a new hard drive image with Windows XP and Office 2003. I believe Photo Editor 3.0 was the old MS Office JPG viewer. Now I believe it is MS Office Picture Manager. I have an old Access database (which I converted to 2003) that shows my jpgs empbedded in it are through MSPhotoEditor3.0. I can't figure out how to get jpgs which on my new system are associated with Office Picture Manager to work with Access 2003. It lets me click on ole links for many other picture formats but I can't figure out how to get it to work for jpgs. If I insert a jpg, it lists it as a package and won't display the picture in reports or forms, only when I click on it in the database.
When I view the reports they look fine, same with forms. When I enter data and click on one, it shows up with the error: the ole server isn't registered to register the ole server, reinstall it.
I did not upgrade this machine, it is a fresh install of Office 2003. I don't believe MS Photo Editor was installed with Office2003, I believe it was replaced by Picture Manager so I don't want to install a legacy program from my old CD's if I don't have to. I would imagine there is a solution for Office 2003, I just think MS might have dropped the ball on making this easy.
