According to the avaya web site the version s2.0 has screen saver support. I updated my test set, download the latest 46xxsettings doc. I changed the the screen saver to activate in 1 minute however the default avaya screen saver is still on. The test123.jpg file is 141X61 4k.

################ AVAYA SCREEN SAVER SETTINGS ###################
##
## Idle time before the Avaya Screen Saver is activated (minutes).
## Number of minutes without phone activity to wait
## before the screen saver is activated. A value of 0 means
## the screen saver is never activated. The default is 240 minutes.
## This parameter does not apply to 16cc SIP phones.
##
## Note:
## This setting activates the Avaya Screen Saver which is
## different than the "idle screen" accessed by WMLIDLEURI.
## While it is possible to use WMLIDLEURI as an "idle
## screen", it is recommended that the SCREENSAVERON
## timer and the Avaya Screen Saver display be used for
## screen saver purposes.
##
SET SCREENSAVERON 1
##
## The filename of a valid JPEG customized screen saver image.
## 0-32 ASCII characters
##
SET SCREENSAVER C:\Program Files\Avaya\MV_IPTel\data\HTTPdata\test123.jpg

Umm, SinKiller, the "SET SCREENSAVER" needs to point to a server somewhere, "C\Program Files\Avaya\..." means nothing to it. Put the file on a web server directory, and pooint the SET SCREENSAVER to that.... This needs to be on a place that the 9600 IP phone can download it from, and your PC's C: drive ain't it :)

Okay I changed the file and it still does not work.

SET SCREENSAVER
If you like you can check the the logo. I set it up so it could be accessed from the web. I can access this file from other machines on the network. Looks like the phone reads the file when booted. No errors that I can see.

Any help is appreciated.

SET SCREENSAVER

Try using quotes - SET SCREENSAVER "filename". Not too sure it needs to be a URL so try the UNC path first i.e. SET SCREENSAVER "C:\Program Files\Avaya\MV_IPTel\data\HTTPdata\test123.jpg"

I have the phone downloading the file successfully, but the phone never dosplays the screensaver. When I look at the IPTel log file it shows the successful download. I am testing this on a 9620 IP phone, I am not sure if this feature is only supported on the 9630's.

Using and my fiel resides in the https directory of IPTel.
