What card do I need to run a 9040 cordless with a magix.Customer currently has a Partner system with a 9040.

You can use the existing 9040 hardware if the Magix has a 016ETR module.

The 9040 will also work just fine on a 412TDL or 024TDL port.

What's up Tom?

From what I'm reading, there are two flavors of base units. TDL ports are apparently supported on the 3204-DRD Radio Base only. Since partnerman is migrating the unit from an existing Partner system, the base transmitter MUST be a 3204-DRE (since the DRD version WILL NOT work with a Partner).

The 3204-DRE base will also work with ATL ports (if re-wired to do so), but not TDL or MLX ports. I'm absolutely certain that his existing unit will work with ETR ports. Nice thing too is that ETR is supported all the way up to R4V7, while ATL is not.

The numbers I reference here are the device's PEC. The reference for the associated power supply--which is clearly marked on the transformer--is 600A1 for the 3204-DRE and 601A1 for the 3204-DRD. That may be another way to verify the version of base unit that you will be using.

Hey dagwoodsystems - you are correct! - to use the 9040 on the TDL modules - he would need the other flavor of radio module (DRM-D). The one for Partner (DRM-E) would only work when connected to the 016 ETR module
