Is it possible to configure Service processor from AIX on 6F1 ?

So far I know how to do it only from the terminal with serial cable, while the machine is off. "Long live king Moshiach !"

Hi,
you can configure service processor using PC under Windows (98, 2000, XP)(port to port) and using Communication -> Hyper Terminal when power is on but computer is not booted.
Regards Boris

Thanks, but this I knew ,as stated.

The question was :
Is it possible to configure Service processor from AIX on 6F1 ?
Meaning from the machine itself when it's up booted into AIX. "Long live king Moshiach !"

Hello levw,

The service processor can not be accessed from AIX. It is very low level function. AIX has no connection to the service processor. The service processor talks to AIX, but not the other way.
