We have two file servers to be used for the IP phones. One has all options disable (for regular employees) the other has only logout as option (for IT employees). Before we only had one file server configured to all which shows all the options for the phone. Now we had two because phone details can be easily seen. So the original file server was edited so that all options are disabled. And made another one for the IT because they are constantly hoteling.
Problem arises when we try to change the file server of a phone to a new one. The older file server did not change after the phone restarts. Other phones had no problem when we change the file server but other phones do. They still retain the older file server. What seems to be the cause of this problem?
The other problem is that the computer or laptop connected to a phone has no ethernet. But when connected directly to the port it has ethernet. Lots of our phones got this problem. What seems to be the cause of this? thanks
BTW we are using AVAYA 4610 IP phones.
