We added a 2211 ip phone recently with 3 rollover lines at a remote location for the customer, so Far so good. Now the customer wants to add an ACD position to this phone. Can this be done? Ultimately they want an ACD agent and 4 more lines on this little guy. I have told him I am dubious but am doing the research. Anybody tried this?

You can make a 2211 an ACD set, but the issue arises of going not ready/make busy if the phone deregisters, such as going into an elevator or other area with no wireless coverage. The user needs to get in the habit of checking their login status if they lose wirelss signal. Not to mention it isn't very user friendly from an ACD perspective to begin with. But it can be done if they insist.

You may have better luck with one of the newer 6xxx model phones. They have better buttons along the bottom row of the display, and may be easier to configure for ACD functionality.

I appreciate the responses. Kind of what I was expecting...you can do it but you won't like it type of thing. Don't think the customer will spring for 6xxx phones but it's a good idea. I will advise them. Thank you for the help.
