I am trying to figure out how to make the Msg/Inbox button work on our 2002P2 phones. We have 3902 and 3904 phones which have Message buttons that work and dial into our voice mail system. I am not having any luck programming the IP2002 phones to do this too.

I have tried putting MWK 1700 on key 5 or 6, but I am told that is not a valid key for this phone type via a error message.

Looking for any help to get the Msg/Inbox button to work on the phone to automatically call our voice mail system (at ext 1700).

Thank you!

John

Thanks! It appears it is our GUI to the switch that is not showing that key for the IP2002 phones. I did remote to the switch and confirmed that key 16 is programmed as "MWK 1700". Below is a listing of the programming. I set it again just to make sure it was programmed. Still the MSG/Inbox button does not work on the phone. Any other items to try?

Thanks!

That all looks good. Could be a firmware issue I suppose.

Ok, I will check into firmware of the phone to see if that is the problem. The button does nothing no error or anything on the phone.

If anyone else has any ideas, please let me know.

0604DCO is the current firmware for these phones, check from the phone or in Element manager.

It's a phone system, NOT a clock!
