200 icp-hotline to 911

can anyone help me setup an analog extension to automatically call 911 when someone picks up the handset,this is on a mitel 200 icp,it is currently setup as a hotline to the attendant,this is for a hotel pool phone,thanks in advance

I did call them and they told me to do what the inspectors told us to do!!!!! so they were no help

Well then, I wouldn't worry too much about it then.

Caution the hotel management in writing that any fines incurred by the setup and use of the 911 autodial will not be your responsibility and call it a day.

This will seem kind of basic but......we've had similar situations and find that putting the pool phone in an enclosure helps a lot with the oops factor. Another solution is to use purpose built emergency sets in place of 2500 style sets.
