First let me say that I had not seen avaya in a good number of years and I was dissapointed with myself when sent to a customers site to look at what should have been a straightforward little job
First
Msn / ddi rings straight through to hunt group ( 2 members )
overflow to next group ( 2 members )
overflow again to another group 1 member
what happens is call rings first group no ans overflows to second group
instead of overflowing to 3rd group on no answer
the call goes back to first group and bounces back and forth between 1st and second group only

second issue
Msn /ddi incoming call route destination 6000 ( single analog phone ) no forwarding on the phone and no short codes
Yet when I call the ddi 4 extns ring

If I look in system status when calling I can see the 4 phones ringing

can anyone point me in the right direction please

System is IPoffice v2 release 8 (65)

Thanks

Issue 1 has never worked that way and will never work that way - overflow doesn't chain from one group to another. Just add the third group to the list of overflow groups in the first groups settings.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Issue 2 too many possibilities. Look at call coverage settings, look at line appearances, look at follow me, look at ... ps. would be useful if you said if the analog 6000 was one of the 4 that rings.

Many thanks for your reply sizbut
Will try that out for the group
cheers

Yep the analog phone 6000 is one of the phones that rings
I will check the backup for the suggestions you have listed and post back
Thanks again :)
