We use a SuperConsole 1000, and would like to replace it with an IP phone. Can we use a 5312 or 5340 for this purpose instead of a dedicated console? I imagine we would have to program a number of lines in a hunt group and put those lines on the keys of the phone. What key type? Single line...
Wow, that article was a blast from the past. I don't think it's applicable because the problem affects users not in a hunt group.
What we just tried was converting a voice port into a MWI port, thus doubling our MWI capacity. We'll see how that worked and I'll post an update.

There are 20 IP ports between the voicemail server and the 3300. The ports are 5020 IP phone emulation channels. 19 are set to handle voice traffic, and 1 is set to perform MWI status changes.
I don't think it's a Mitel problem. There are no user communities for the Kinesis product, so I was posting here in a last ditch attempt to reach out to anyone who has had similar issues.
