    Smart Batteries show fault

    As per a previous thread, I am experimenting with a wind generator to charge the batteries on an older APC ups. All of a sudden the two smart batteries have faults and doen't last any time. Is this typical of a bad battery in the group?? I have measured voltage and still get close to my 48V...

    Using the inverter from an APC UPS with a wind generator

    Has anyone disected an APC-UPS?? I was able to acquire an older 5000VA unit and some batteries. I have purchased and installed a 600W, 48V wind generator to charge the batteries. unfortunately i think the batteries are questionable. but i want to experitment a bit further and wanted to know if...
